IFMAC 2019 brings ‘Quality Manufacturing Needs for lndonesia’s Rising Furniture lndustry

IFMAC – the lnternational Furniture Manufacturing Components Exhibition opens today with a highly anticipated show floor packed with the latest technological offerings for indonesia’s fast-expanding furniture production industry. Organized by PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), in collaboration with Deutsche Messe, organizer of LIGNA for the first time this year, IFMAC starts its 2019 edition on a high note with a sold-out show floor filled by 286 companies from 23 countries . IFMAC’s 8th edition will take place from 9 to 12 October 2019 at the Jakarta International expo, Kemayoran, welcoming 15.000 trade visitors from within and beyond Indonesia.
 
IFMAC 2019’s frontline exhibiting companies include Alpha Utama Mandiri, Felder Group, American Hardwood (AHEC), and Maju Adil Sejahtera who have exhibited regularly at the exhibition since it was first launched 2012. Now, part of LIGNAS’s family of exhibitions serving the furniture production and woodworking industries. IFMAC boasts higher internationality with higher number of foreign participation particularly from Europe. These first-time exhibiting companies include Ledinek GmbH, Inter Abrasive A.S., Surteco Pte Ltd, Raute Group Asia Pte Ltd, Robland NV, and PK Garuda: from Australia, Turkey, Singapore, Belgium, and Indonesia respectively. In total, IFMAC 2019 has recorded increase in international participation with 70% overseas companies and 30% domestic participation comprising large home-grown distributors and some of the country’s largest machinery and solutions suppliers to the furniture industry.
